Summer Camp Details

  • Hickory Ridge Summer Camps are for Rising 6th – 8th grade students. 
  • Camps take place Monday through Thursday
  • The cost is $100.00 per camps – NO REFUND
  • Week 1 – June 1st through June 4th
  • Week 2 – June 8th through June 11th 
  • Morning camps take place from 9:00am – 12:00pm
  • Afternoon camps take place from 12:30pm – 3:30pm
  • Registration will close TBD

    Skills, drills, games and more! Come hone your shooting, dribbling, passing and more as we take our basketball skills to the next level. Participate in fun scrimmage games every day and win cool prizes during action-packed camp competitions. Campers should bring a water bottle and wear comfy athletic clothes and shoes each day! Whether you're a beginner just getting started or a seasoned pro, we’ve got you covered this summer!

    We are so excited to teach rising 6th grade students how to make and read music during this camp! This camp is intended to give new, rising 6th grade band students a head start on the first 9 weeks of the band curriculum to get to music making faster. In addition to getting to learn your intstrument beginning steps, campers will get to make friends and play cool music related games. All in, all one, all fun!

    Are you interested in Cheerleading? Do you love to dance and get pumped up at sporting events? If so, then come check out Maverick Cheer Camp! This camp will be geared towards learning arm motions, jumps, cheers, and dance routines all while getting to know fun, new people through engaging in team-building activities. This camp will also help rising 7th and 8th graders prepare for our Maverick Cheerleading tryouts for the school year! Let's Go Mavericks!! Campers should wear tennis shoes/socks, shorts/t-shirt, a hair tie, and bring a snack/drink for break time.

    We’re excited to offer a Summer Cooking Camp for students! Campers will learn basic kitchen skills, practice safe food preparation, and create fun, kid-friendly recipes they can easily make at home for themselves and their families. It’s a great opportunity to build confidence and independence in the kitchen! Please note: Students with food allergies should not attend, as ingredients will not be screened for allergens.

    Our Drone Camp for rising 6th-8th graders is an adrenaline-filled experience where students become pilots and mission commanders! Campers will explore the basics of flight, master drone controls, conquer competition-style obstacle courses, and complete thrilling real-world problem-solving missions.This camp fills FAST every year - and space is limited. Grab your spot before we're cleared for takeoff!!

    Inspired by Rube Goldberg, campers will work in teams to design and build a GIANT chain-reaction machine that accomplishes one epic final goal! Using simple machines, robotics, circuitry, and mechanical parts, students will experiment, problem-solve, and engineer creative solutions through hands-on challenges.  This high-energy camp builds teamwork, critical thinking, and real-world engineering skills, all leading up to an exciting final launch day where every piece must work together!

    Take your wildest ideas —and press play! In this high-energy camp, art and computer science collide as students transform bold ideas into interactive adventures. They’ll design unforgettable characters and vibrant worlds, then power them up to create a game that jumps off the screen. Blending creativity with logic, campers will explore storytelling, coding, and clever problem-solving. By the end, campers won’t just be playing games… they’ll be launching their own. Dream it. Design it. Play it.

    Get ready for nonstop action at our Gym Games Camp—where energy, teamwork, and fun come together! Campers jump into exciting group challenges, fast-paced activities, kickball, and classic gym favorites that keep everyone moving and motivated. Each day builds confidence, coordination, and sportsmanship in a supportive, high-energy environment. Whether your child loves friendly competition or just wants to stay active and make new friends, Gym Games Camp is the perfect place to play hard, have fun, and finish each day feeling strong and accomplished.

    Grade: Rising 7th – 8th 

    Student Capacity: UNLIMITED

    This camp is intended for rising 7th and 8th graders that already have experience on their instruments. In this camp, we will have more individualized, small group instruction to help our musicians learn more notes, more rhythms, and then we will apply those skills to making both concert band music and pep band music. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to get a head start on all district auditions literature. All in, all one, all fun!
