Posted Date: 01/18/24 (03:27 PM)

Dear Parents and Legal Guardians:

A new law has gone into effect that now requires advanced consent for the delivery of non-emergency mental health services and interventions delivered by school counselors, school social workers, school psychologists, and school nurses. The new law (SB 49 ) requires annual written notification regarding school mental health services and/or when students change schools.

If you would like to ensure that your child receives supportive intervention services please complete the link here: Hickory Ridge Middle Universal Opt-In

If you have any questions, please contact: Dr. Taylor (Principal), Megan Payne (School Psychologist), LaRhonda Bryson (Social Worker), Kim Ifill, Candace Gray (School Counselors) or Amy Cranford (School Nurse) at 704-260-6490.

Thank you for your time and attention.
